Three people are standing on a grassy area surrounded by walls of an old building. Eat-girls are seen in long shot looking at the camera. The person on the left is wearing jeans, a white turtleneck jumper, a double-breasted, hip-length leather coat, black shoes and a blue, red and white scarf tied around his head. The white male person has shoulder-length brown hair. He is holding the wrist of his right hand with his left in front of his body. To his right, there is a glow of light in the picture that blinds the viewer. The second person is wearing a grey bare-shouldered top with another black top with spaghetti straps and a green-brown knee-length skirt. Her hair is brown, fringed and shoulder-length at the nape of her neck. She has her arms hanging down and her hands slightly tense. The third person has red, chin-length curly hair, wears a lime-coloured blouse over a black dress with white scrollwork and black trousers. She lets her arms hang and hides her fists in the sleeves of the dress.

eat-girls

eat-girls is a project born during lockdown. Secluded in their apartment in Lyon, Amélie Guillon and Elisa Artero started recording with whatever they had at their disposal – cheap drum machines, a synth, a bass, guitar and their voices – singing icy pop songs about hating pollen, what the last fuck at the end of the world would be like, and about all the lies that love brings. When the lockdown let up, Maxence Mesnier joined as eat-girls started playing in bars that were finally reopening. Since then, they’ve not only opened for Thalia Zedek but have also set up a tour, which brings them to Berlin.
