L Twills

The real name of L Twills is Lila-Zoé Krauß, who was born in 1994 in Alice Springs, grew up in Hamburg and studied art in Germany and the USA. She expresses herself not only as an electronic and avant-pop musician but also as a multimedia and performance artist. In her performances, L Twills combines genre-spanning, avant-garde sounds with deconstruction and pop-dystopian spectacles, dealing with topics such as violence, capitalism and emancipation. Following engagements at theatres such as Staatstheater Augsburg and Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, L Twills is currently working on her second release, a multimedia concept album entitled »[After her Destruction]«, which includes performance, dance, installation, theatrical sequences and video, a version of which she will present live at Pop-Kultur. She will be supported live by contemporary dancer Rebecca de Toro.
