Little Annie, Beth B & Paul Wallfisch: »52 Jokers«

»52 Jokers« is a personal performance piece about and with iconic underground artist and musician Little Annie. The Commissioned Work draws on four decades of Annie’s written output; her autobiography, her poetry chapbooks and her lyrics, as well as featuring her ever evolving, almost daily takes on politics, aging, relationships, faith and the weather in Miami.
In a simple setting with video screens, two musicians and two performers including visual artist Beth B, and Annie herself, »52 Jokers« explores the life choices we all face, articulated through the life experience of a unique artist.

A co-production of Pop-Kultur Berlin, Kampnagel Sommerfest and Volkstheater Wien, with the participation of Noorderzon, Groningen.
